Brief

The Seva Dharmik Awards, held every three years, celebrate the exceptional contributions of NGOs, philanthropists, and individuals overcoming physical disabilities to enrich society. These awards not only recognize their efforts but also grant a financial reward of Rs. 1,00,000. More importantly, LRF sees these stories as powerful inspirations, aiming to spread them far and wide, particularly among the youth. The event is strategically hosted to ensure these inspiring narratives reach every corner of the Telugu states, with future plans to expand its reach across other states as well.

Selection Criteria

Every Seva Dharmik Awards ceremony honors three NGOs or philanthropists and one inspirational individual under "Special Recognition". In every ceremony the following criteria is followed by our selection committee:

1. Geographic Criteria:

The four awardees are selected such that one of the four represents each of these categories:

a. Northern/Eastern India

b. Western/ Southern part of India, except Andhra Pradesh & Telangana.

c. Andhra Pradesh

d. Telangana

2. Impact Criteria:

Impact Criteria is distributed as following:

a. Organization whose work is spread across two or more states with 5+ years of service - Two Awardees

b. Organization/ Individual who just began or operate in small scale yet creating huge impact - One Awardee

c. Physically challenged Individual with more than 50% disability financially supporting their family - One Awardee

Harekala Hajjabba, Karnataka, India

Harekala Hajabba, a former fruit seller, built a school in his village despite hardships. He received the Padma Shri and is called "Akshara Santa" (The Saint of Education). His school now educates over 150 students.
